    Amazing turnout of 300 tonight in Rayville where we announced a $25,000 fundraising effort for the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.     Louisiana farmers and ranchers who rely on the Farm Bill as America's agriculture safety net can help shape future policy at an ag summit scheduled by the state's only member of the House Agriculture Committee. Congressman Ralph Abraham, R-Alto, has scheduled what he is calling a "listening session" at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Rayville High School.     The Richland Parish Chamber of Commerce has donated $5,000 towards improvements for the weather pavilion at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. The cemetery is currently raising private funds to pay for retractable weather barriers that can shield family members and those who are attending a memorial ceremony during times of bad weather.     Formed in 1983. At that time there was no market for rice in Richland Parish. Farmers would have to wait on buyers from South Louisiana to travel up to Northeast Louisiana to bid on rice lots in storage bins. The Late George B Franklin Jr used to say that all of the buyers traveled in the same car, so there was a good bit of distrust in the industry. Holly Ridge Rice became a stopping point for farmers selling rice to South Louisiana or on barges loaded at the Mississippi River. Today Holly
